The Master of Science in Risk Management and Insurance program has a special focus on insurance as a tool of risk management but the broader goal of the program is to enable its graduates to study finance corporate risk, within the realities of a firm’s environment, in a way that preserves/enhances value.
Students also have access to the School of Risk Management’s extensive network of professional alumni and its involved corporate Board of Overseers, to expand their networking and career opportunities.
The masters of science in the management of risk prepares students to go into positions such as broker and underwriter in the insurance industry. Those students in that program, if they are very careful with their course selection, they came finish the program in 10 months. It's open to students of all different backgrounds.
Students who are studying in our MS management of risk program have access to all of the services that we're providing at the Thrower Center, which is a specialized career center for the School of Risk Management. We are connecting those students with professional opportunities and internship opportunities, with employers who are in that sphere. There are numerous opportunities that students can move into after completing their coursework here in the MS risk program.
